How your answers are protected

Plain answers to the questions people ask before they trust a check-in.

Can my manager see my answers?
No. Nobody can, including the hotel admin and Lintel's operators through the app. Managers see figures for groups of at least five people, and only for days that have finished.
Is my check-in stored with my name?
No. A check-in is stored with your hotel, your department and the day it describes. There is no name, account, email or exact time on it.
How does Lintel stop me checking in twice?
While a day is open, each check-in carries a one-way code made from your account, the hotel and the day, using a secret key. It can only be used to spot a second check-in for the same day. When the day closes, the code is deleted, and nothing links the answers to anyone after that.
What if my department is small?
If fewer than five people in a department answer on a day, that department's answers are combined with others before anyone sees them, and the board says so. Lintel also makes sure two views can never be compared to work out a smaller group.
What about breaks?
Break records belong to the rota, which already says who works when. If you answer the break question, your shift's break record is updated too. Managers in Lintel only ever see break completion as a department total.
What about difficult-interaction reports?
They are stored with the department and a four-hour block of the day only. There is no note field and no guest details.
How long is data kept?
Individual anonymous answers are deleted after the hotel's retention period (180 days unless your hotel sets otherwise). Daily department totals are kept.
Can I delete my account?
Yes, from Account and settings. Your account and membership are deleted. Your past check-ins stay, because they were never linked to you and cannot be found.
